KombiCam Photobooth Gallery: Wedding – Shane and Jaydie, Cascade Brewery, Hobart, Tasmania

Shane and Jaydie from Victoria, and their entourage, descended on Tasmania for their wedding at Hobarts Cascade Brewery on Monday. The reception was in the Museum Room at the Cascade Visitors Centre, which is a great room upstairs filled with memorabilia of Cascade and Hobart in general. It also was the first time out for our traditional photo booth, which we set up at the back of the room. Given the rainy weather on the day, it was a wise choice.

Shane and Jaydie, you guys were a lot of fun and had a beautiful wedding, I wish you all the best for your future together.

KombiCam Photobooth Gallery: Longford Revival Festival 2011

The first weekend in April was a whole lot of fun at the first ever Longford Revival Festival in northern Tasmania. Longford was once the home to the Australian Grand Prix with a fantastic circuit featuring the Flying Mile and the Viaduct sections, as well as the famous Pub Corner, a 90º right-hander past the local watering hole. All the great names raced there in the ’50s and ’60s – Jack Brabham, Jackie Stewart, Jim Clark, Bruce McLaren, Stirling Moss, Graham Hill, Lex Davison and more – but sadly the track can not be reconstructed, due to a highway being built over a section near the Viaduct, and a number of bridges that no longer exist.

The Longford Revival was a big event indeed, with lots of fantastic cars on display including a fabulous selection of Porsches from the Porsche Museum in Germany. Another highlight was the running of cars and bikes down the Flying Mile. Great to see cars old and new at speed down this historic stretch of tarmac.

Of course KombiCam was there, doing the photo booth thing. People were encouraged to come in ’60s clothing in order to win $1000 worth of prizes, and here are some of the photos.

Dominic College School Fair and Longford Revival Festival

Friday afternoon saw the annual Dominic College Fair. It sure was interesting visiting my old school, I have not been there for quite some time and was amazed at the amount of changes and new buildings there. The fair was a big event with a wide variety of activities and fun to be had. KombiCam rolled up and before long we had a huge lineup of kids waiting to dress up in the costumes and have some photo booth fun. Needless to say KombiCam was a massive success with kids coming back again and again.

Don’t forget this Saturday and Sunday KombiCam will be at the Longford Revival Festival. Our Kombi Photo Booth will be running all day Saturday and Sunday. Sunday 3rd April is all about rewinding back to the days of the 60s. Families who come dressed in 60s garb and have their photo taken in KombiCam will be eligible to win $500 cash and a $500 Pure Tasmania voucher (charges and conditions apply). So get your costumes ready and we will see you there! (Just wait till you see Nigel’s outfit!)
